Rarity Tier
A bucket grouping an upgraded Telegram gift's attribute by drop probability — typically common, rare, epic, legendary. Higher tiers correspond to fewer minted items and sharply higher secondary-market prices.
Aliases: gift rarity, attribute rarity, tier
A rarity tier is a category that ranks an attribute of an upgraded Telegram gift by how often it drops. When a gift is upgraded each of its three attributes — model variant, backdrop, symbol — lands in one of these tiers.
Typical hierarchy
The community and marketplaces have settled on a four-step scale borrowed from gaming:
- Common — most frequent, roughly 60–70% of drops.
- Rare — noticeable but not unusual, ~20–25%.
- Epic — uncommon, ~5–10%.
- Legendary — very scarce, fractions of a percent.
Exact weights are published by Telegram for each collection at launch.
How tier affects price
Secondary-market value scales non-linearly with rarity. A gift with one legendary attribute typically trades at 5–20× the collection floor; items with two or three legendary attributes can clear an order of magnitude higher.
Context on TON
Marketplaces (Portals, Tonnel, MRKT) show tiers as colour-coded badges and filters. Analytics bots such as Plebs Bot can print a per-wallet summary of rarity tiers held.
