Portals

Portals (t.me/portals) is a Telegram-native marketplace for trading Telegram Gifts, opening as a mini-app right inside the messenger. As of early 2026, Portals is the largest venue by turnover for upgraded gifts and runs the tightest bid/ask spreads on top collections.

What sets Portals apart

• Deep liquidity. Popular collections (Plush Pepe, Heart Locket, Crystal Ball) carry a sustained wall of orders on both sides of the book.
• Telegram-native UX. The marketplace opens as a mini-app, wallet connection runs over TON Connect, payments settle in TON or Stars without leaving Telegram.
• Categories and filters. Sort by floor, model, backdrop, mint number — convenient for hunting grails.
• Floor analytics. 24h / 7d / 30d price charts on every collection — useful for tracking trends.

How to buy

1. Open the mini-app via the Portals link.
2. Connect a TON wallet through TON Connect (Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet, Wallet in Telegram).
3. Pick a collection and a gift, double-check attributes (model + backdrop + symbol) and mint number.
4. Sign the transaction — the gift will appear in your Telegram profile and in your wallet as a TON NFT.

How to sell

1. Inside the mini-app go to «My gifts» and tap the one you want to sell.
2. Set a price (in TON) — Portals shows the current floor and spread so you can sanity-check your number.
3. Sign the listing transaction — the gift stays in your Telegram until sold but appears in the public order book.
4. Once sold, TON lands in your wallet automatically minus the marketplace fee.

Fees

The standard Portals fee is a flat percentage of the trade (historically 5%, subject to change). TON network fees are negligible (~0.05 TON). For large trades (>$1000) the fee differential across marketplaces can matter — it pays to check the current rate before listing.

Safety

• Use only the official brand. Fake «Portals» bots in Telegram are common. Before connecting a wallet, make sure you opened @portals and not a clone. A check against ton.app is a mandatory step.
• TON Connect signatures. The marketplace asks you to sign specific transactions only (listing, sale). Never sign blanket «approve all» permissions — that pattern is a phishing red flag.
• Two-factor auth in Telegram. If an attacker takes over your account, gifts can be transferred without your wallet. Enable 2FA in Telegram settings.

Alternatives

Besides Portals, the market also runs on Tonnel (lower fees, strong analytics) and MRKT (a younger challenger focused on filters). Each has its own strengths — large holders typically compare prices across two or three venues before executing.

For newcomers to gift trading, Portals is the least painful entry point: high liquidity lets you buy and sell quickly without major slippage.
