Privacy policy

What we collect when you load a page, which cookies fire, who sees the logs. No legalese.

01 · What we collect

Analytics and infrastructure logs

When you load a page, the Yandex.Metrika counter (№ 109127444) records anonymised data: page path, referrer, device type, screen resolution, a User-Agent fingerprint, and IP address. We use this data for editorial analytics — which pieces are read, how readers move between sections.

At the infrastructure layer, Cloudflare keeps standard CDN access logs: request IP, path, response status, bot scoring. These exist for DDoS and bot protection; we do not query them directly or aggregate them outside the Cloudflare dashboard.

02 · What we do not collect

Things that simply do not exist here

  • No accounts and no sign-ups — there is no login surface.
  • No email subscriptions and no forms. You can only follow us via RSS or the Telegram channel — both external to the site.
  • No payment data, banking details, or KYC documents.
  • No advertising pixels: no Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics 4, no retargeting networks.
03 · Cookies

Which cookies fire

On the first visit Yandex.Metrika sets a set of standard tracking cookies in the _ym_* family:

  • _ym_uid — visitor identifier (~1 year)
  • _ym_d — first-visit date
  • _ym_isad — flag for ad-blocker presence
  • _ym_visorc — internal, used by Webvisor when enabled

Cloudflare sets __cf_bm — a short-lived bot-management cookie. If your browser blocks cookies or you browse in private mode, the site remains fully functional.

04 · Third parties

Who sees your visit

Yandex.Metrika
Analytics. Jurisdiction: Russian Federation.
Cloudflare
CDN, DDoS protection, bot management.
Not used
Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, social trackers.
05 · Outbound links

Affiliate redirects and Referer

Affiliate links route through the cloak redirect /go/?to=<slug>. The /go/ page itself is tagged noindex, nofollow and carries <meta name="referrer" content="no-referrer">; the partner-link element uses rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow".

That means the partner does not receive a Referer header from us and cannot tell which article the click came from. The partner only sees the click itself and (when the link is affiliate) the referral marker in the URL.

On the partner side, their own privacy policy applies — we are not responsible for it.

07 · Your rights

How to reach us

Because we do not collect personal data directly (no login, no forms, no email database), the typical "delete my account" or "export my data" requests do not apply — we do not have the data to begin with.

For any privacy or cookie question, message us via the contact page (Telegram). Requests to opt-out of Yandex.Metrika tracking should be addressed to Yandex itself — we do not have a "disable tracking for this single visit" toggle.

08 · Policy changes

What we update and when

If we onboard an additional service (search, a new CDN, etc.) this page will be updated and the new date will appear in the header. The latest update date is at the top.
