Upgraded Gift
A Telegram gift that has been upgraded into a TEP-62 NFT on TON: it carries three randomly assigned attributes (model, backdrop, symbol) and can be listed on secondary gift marketplaces.
Aliases: nft gift, telegram nft gift
An upgraded gift is a Telegram gift the recipient has converted from its default form into an on-chain NFT. After upgrade the gift:
- gets three randomly rolled attributes — model variant, backdrop, symbol;
- is minted as a TEP-62 NFT on TON mainnet;
- receives a permanent token-ID and an owner address;
- becomes listable on secondary marketplaces — Portals, Tonnel, MRKT, Getgems.
Why upgrade
Before upgrade a gift is just a record on the recipient’s Telegram account and cannot be transferred or sold. Upgrading detaches the asset from the account: the NFT lives on a TON address, so even if the Telegram account is suspended the gift survives on-chain.
Cost
Upgrades are paid in Telegram Stars. See gift-upgrade-cost for the current pricing logic.
Attributes after upgrade
Each attribute has a rarity-tier. When all three rolled attributes are rare, the secondary-market value of the item climbs sharply.
