Launchpad
Token launch platform: projects raise capital and investors receive tier-gated allocation. The principal launchpad in the TON ecosystem is TonStarter.
Aliases: launchpad, ido platform
Launchpad is a platform that runs initial token sales (IDO/IDA) for new projects. Investors receive allocation based on a tier, which is typically determined by staking the platform’s native token.
How it works
- Project applies and passes the platform’s due diligence.
- Platform announces dates, raise size, and terms (vesting cliff + linear unlock).
- Investors stake the platform token (or confirm a tier through other criteria) → receive a guaranteed allocation.
- TGE — the token launches with an initial unlock percentage; the rest is released per the vesting schedule.
Launchpads in the TON ecosystem
- TonStarter — the main ecosystem launchpad, hosts larger TON-native projects.
- STON.fi launchpad — meme-token launches via DEX liquidity.
- Ad-hoc IDO models (project-run, sometimes with TON Foundation involvement).
Risks
- Most launchpad tokens lose 60–90% from peak after TGE.
- Vesting unlocks create sustained sell pressure.
- Low float / high FDV is the typical pattern.
