What it is and who it fits
Tonstakers is the highest-TVL liquid staking protocol on TON. Live since 2023, it sits on top of the standard validator-pool mechanism with one important twist: instead of waiting for a validator cycle to roll, you receive tsTON — a derivative token that appreciates against TON as rewards accrue. That turns staking from a 'funds locked for 18+ hours' position into a 'liquid token in hand' position that's usable across DeFi. tsTON has pools on STON.fi and DeDust and is accepted as collateral by EVAA, Storm Trade and Aqua. Architecturally it is a pool of several independent nodes with automatic rebalancing, which lowers the slashing exposure of any single operator. The downsides are real: TVL concentration in one protocol carries systemic risk for TON staking, and the contract is a contract — public audits (CertiK plus independents) and months of clean operation, but not mathematically proven safety. For a newcomer, the Tonkeeper 'stake TON' button typically routes here — and that is a reasonable default.
