Pros
- The most decentralised node-operator set among top-three liquid stakers
- Fully open source — contracts and frontend
- Audited by independent TON-ecosystem auditors
- A sensible 'second stake' alongside tsTON or stTON — risk diversification
- Transparent operator onboarding with public requirements
Cons
- A younger protocol — shorter validator-cycle history
- TVL and hTON DEX pool depth are noticeably smaller than tsTON's
- DeFi integrations are catching up but still trail Tonstakers'
- Unstaking waits for a validator round — no instant exit
What it is and who it fits
Hipo Finance is the third-largest TON liquid staking protocol by TVL, live since 2024. Architecturally it sits close to bemo (open source, transparent upgrades) but pushes further: the team is building a decentralised set of node operators that any team can join after meeting technical and reputational requirements. The goal is to avoid dependency on any single operator and spread stake across more independent validators. The derivative token hTON follows the same 'price drifts up against TON' model. DeFi integrations were thinner at launch than Tonstakers' or bemo's, but by 2025-2026 hTON is supported on STON.fi, DeDust and EVAA integrations are in progress. The strength is the most decentralised validator set of the top-three liquid stakers plus an open, audited codebase. The weakness is relative youth — fewer historical cycles to point at and shallower DEX liquidity. For users who want 'not all eggs in one basket' for TON staking, Hipo is a sensible split alongside tsTON or stTON.
