STON token

The governance token of the STON.fi platform. Used for protocol voting, staking inside incentive programs, and routing a share of exchange fees to holders.

Aliases: ston, governance token

STON is the native token of STON.fi, issued under the TEP-74 jetton standard. Functionally it sits in the same family as other DEX governance tokens (UNI for Uniswap, CAKE for PancakeSwap): a vote in protocol direction plus a slice of platform economics.

Token utilities

STON.fi’s design lays out several uses for the token:

  • Governance voting. STON holders weigh in on protocol parameters: fee tiers, which pairs are added to incentive programs, emission budgets, and smart-contract upgrades.
  • Staking. The token can be locked in a staking contract for various durations, returning a share of protocol revenue and/or additional emissions.
  • Boost. Staked STON can amplify LP farming rewards — a familiar ve-token mechanic popularized by Curve and its forks.

Distribution and emissions

Allocation, vesting schedule, and current circulating supply are published in STON.fi’s official documentation and visible on TON block explorers. Before buying, check the live unlock schedule: large unlocks (team, investors, ecosystem buckets) historically pressure DEX-token prices.

Specific numbers are intentionally omitted here — current data should be pulled directly from Tonscan/Tonviewer and official dashboards.

Where it trades

STON is listed:

  • On STON.fi itself — paired against TON and USDT-jetton; typically the deepest liquidity sits here.
  • On DeDust — a parallel venue; occasionally a tighter quote.
  • On some centralized exchanges that support TON. The specific list changes over time.

Risks and realistic expectations

  • Governance is not dividends. The real value of any DEX governance token depends on how aggressively the protocol routes revenue to holders and how meaningful voting actually is. Early-stage tokens are typically priced on speculation.
  • Emission pressure. When a protocol distributes STON as LP incentives and staking rewards, sellers can dominate buyers in the short term.
  • Tied to exchange traffic. STON is worth exactly as much as STON.fi is worth. Falling volumes weaken the fundamental case for the token.
  • Unlock cliffs. Large vesting cliffs are worth tracking on a calendar.

Context

STON is one of the key DeFi jettons on TON alongside USDT-jetton and major LSTs. Long term its trajectory depends on how STON.fi evolves (market share, fee switch, buyback programs) and on overall TON DeFi health.
