About the exchange

Binance is the world's largest crypto exchange by volume, with a deliberately non-fixed legal HQ. Supports TON across all modes except RUB P2P — the P2P section for RU residents was closed in 2023 along with the sale of Binance's Russian operations to CommEx. Recurring Proof of Reserves through Merkle tree, SAFU fund insures user assets. Best suited for non-Russian residents or anyone with a foreign-passport KYC (UAE, KZ, AM). RU passport holders face caps on volumes, card payments and available pairs. After the November-2023 $4.3B US DoJ settlement and CZ's departure, the platform stabilised operationally by 2025, but political and regulatory risk remains elevated.
